Day 25:3

We started the biggest loser at work 2 weeks ago. I have lost a total of 4.4 lbs in 2 weeks. I have been doing my hcg but haven't quite cut out the sugar or coffee cream in my coffee. It's hard to do and I love my coffee!!!!

I have been looking at what to change my diet with when I'm done the drops. I have decided to emit canned food due to the high boa levels that saturated the food inside. So much to learn about all these chemicals that are contaminating our food supply. Guess its time to get back into baking my treats which are way healthier than prepackaged goods.

Our society has become so dependent on crap quality food and fooled by "healthy" titles. You can't even trust that a fruit or vegetable will give you 100% of the nutrients they should because they are grown too fast and not able to soak up the natural sun and soil nutrients in the proper growing time. I wish I could garden all year long to make sure I'm getting 100% organic produce.

Now that I've ranted... I have to stick to the hcg and go for at least 5 lbs for next week. Going to cut the sugar down to 1tsp and possibly no cream. That should help a lot.

DAY 1:3

I'm back!  I really went by the wayside and fell off the wagon.  The holidays were really hard to keep on the healthy food.   I didnt stop at the holidays either.  I blame stress on my over eating, lots to stress about but nothing that cant be handled.  Round 2 I didnt do much in weight loss if any, but was proud to at least maintain my weight.  It was the last couple of months that I put on a few pounds.  Stress really does put weight on the middle! 

I have started another round of HCG.  At work we are doing a friendly challenge of the biggest loser.  We do our own thing for weight loss and a healthier lifestyle.  One person does the weigh in once a week and keeps everything confidential.  a chart is kept and once a week the percentage lost and amount of weight is recorded for all to see without the actual weight being announced.  We do this starting today until July and the winner is the one with the most weight lost at 3%.

I will keep my weekly accomplishments with the challenge posted here as I did before.  I am not going to give my weight to keep it private from coworkers who may read these posts that are in the challenge.  I will post inches lost to give an idea.

Day 20:2

I haven't been posting, my bad.  Just been busy and then too tired to put my thoughts into words.

I have been maintaining my weight and I am not too happy about the progress of losing it.  I have come to a theory a long time ago that in the winter no matter how hard you try with any diet or exersize it is impossible to lose a large amount of weight because you body naturally hold on to fat/calories in the winter months.  Does that make sense?  Hence the fact that most New Years Resolutions never work out because peeps get frustrated at not losing anything the first 3-4 months.  Thats my excuse and I'm using it!  LOL

I haven't been totally strict with my diet, but I'm not doing anything overboard either.  My metabolism may have levelled out from the previous drop session but who knows for sure.  I am going to start doing my Jillian Michaels Wii work out Monday morning now that I'm done my drops.  I only did the 21 day stretch this time, hope the exersize will kick some ass!  Spring and Summer is just around the corner!!!!

So my weight is at 180lbs.  I'm not going to stress about it, I feel good with the food I eat and feeling better is what its all about!  I am going to try and start eating more gluten free foods now

Day 5:2

Its Friday.  I had a vegetable thin crust (Dr. Oetker) pizza.  I needed some food in my tummy.  I dont think I was hungry though, I think my tummy is rumbling because I am getting the flu.  As long as I sit here on the couch I'm fine.

The diet is going well....I cannot give up my cream for coffee so I am carrying on using the fat free vanilla international delite.  i figure its better than real cream and sugar (for the diet).  This time around I cannot get into the taste of the Stevia drops....I don't know why, but it just doesnt sit right with my taste buds... I must have my coffee and enjoy it!!!!  lol

I am going to make my cabbage soup this weekend and a couple other meal ideas.

DAY 3:2

Its day 3 of the second round.  I weighed myself for the first time since Christmas and I gained about 5-6 lbs.  Its hard to say if its actual weight or just the usual fluctuation of water retention etc...  so i will just go with a cool 185lbs to start off round two. Not bad for all the naughty stuff that was eaten over the holidays.  Measurements were the same as when I finished the first round.

I can't wait to start feeling good again...I really let my diet go to shit during December. Thought the drops would give me strength to not eat chocolates and other yummy holiday treats...WRONG.  lol  Oh well.. I didnt gain my weight back , if anything, I learned that certain foods cause me irritablility for certain functions.

Happy New Year!

Ok so I failed at my second attempt...stopped taking the drops and did the holiday munch fest! I don't feel the least bit guilty!  Ok..a little but I know I can get back on track and do this for another 40lbs!!!

I am not going to do a binge for 2 days... I think I have done enough over the last month.  I feel so bloated and gross and am ready to start feeling good again. Tomorrow I will start my hcg diet and stick to it 100% even better than the first time.  Some girls in the office are starting again or for the first time...its much easier with support.

I will keep all posted daily with the weekly updates on weight/inch loss.

keeping levelled out

I have been off the drops for a few weeks now and maintaining my new weight.  I have remained partially on the diet while adding in my regular meals and keeping the portions small.  I have had a few no no foods but i said before i dont believe in not fulfilling your cravings while on a diet.  Get it done and over with but in moderation.

Today is the first time I have felt bloated and gross...I think its because I havent been drinking as much water with the temperature change and have been eating breads again.  Going to have to get that back on track!  Im also going to start trying different foods once I can get organized.  A friend of mine has a web blog with her gluten free recipes.  A Mom Who Needs to Cook & Wine check her out!

I will be going back on the drops around Christmas...I might make Christmas Eve & Christmas Day my two gorge days lol.  If I remember I will do a weigh in and measure by the end of the week.

Day 60:1

Today is the last day of my drops.  I have done three bottles, and now I feel ready to continue with just the diet. 

As of today, I have accomplished 40 lbs of weight loss!!!!!  I am happy with the result but know I need at least another 30 to go...minimum!!!! 

I will keep a weekly update on my progress off the drops...this is a crucial part of the diet is to maintain or keep losing without the drops but with the diet. 

I am also proud of the gals at work who are doing this diet...they are reaching their goals too!

well im down 2 more pounds  and another half inch on the belly...

I think I have levelled out and need to switch up some recipes.  Maybe Im eating over the calorie limit?  I don't know.  but I will take another 2 lbs over nothing or gaining...  =)

Day 44:1

Happy belated Thanksgiving!  It was a "filling" weekend....I didn't over eat, but I did eat a lot of the wrong foods for this diet.  I have a weakness for stuffing!  so Friday ended off with a 'healthy pizza' no cheese, lots of veggies! Saturday I had chinese food, not much but enough to feel yucky after...too much oil?  Sunday a hotdog from Ikea for dinner, and Monday a turkey feast!  My lunches consisted of my diet foods.

I think i gained 1 lb, but I am not sure.  I'll update my measurements as well today, yesterday I couldn't find my measuring tape so I had to measure this morning.

I think I am done this kind of gorging until christmas...it sure didnt feel good after wards, but I guess stepping off the plan for a couple of days shows how grossly you feel after eating that kind of food. Moderation is the key, and not all in one weekend.


The weight isn't dropping off as fast now ... maybe I have reached a plateau.

Day 36:1

Down another 4 or 5 lbs.  I should have gotten a digital scale, these other ones are so inacurate.  so I say 4 or 5 lbs because it varied with each try.  Measurements stayed the same, thats ok it means I probably lost somewhere Im not measuring...a chin maybe?  lol

I enjoyed a steak tonight, I am not a big steak fan but did it ever taste good!

This morning I was craving toast with peanut butter.  I still miss my breakfast, if thats the only bad thing about this diet, then I'll survive.  =)

Exercise vs. Activity

I don't know what the difference would be between actual exercise or extreme gardening.  For 3 days I have been doing a fall clean up of the front yard, splitting and moving around my perennials...  My legs feel like I have done squats for 3 days.  Hope for some good weighloss this week...including inches.

A new week

33 days, still feeling great!  i can really feel a difference in my wasteline.  still continuing with the diet, no problems there.  I won't bore you with the meals anymore...they are just continuing on the same manner.  going to see about some new recipes this week...chili perhaps? nom nom nom

ps...i found some fat free/sugar free ice cream at Safeway  it is a dairy, but when you have a craving...how much safer can this be?  I only got the vanilla, i wont indulge too much with the chocolates and caramels.  *slurp*

Day 31:1

I have posted some links to your right on what Dr. Oz had to say with other professionals about HCG.

I, myself, have not had any side effects from using the drops...up to now I have lost 30 lbs and feel great!  Yes I have added some extra food to my plan occasionally but didn't over do it.  Yes I beleive 500 calories a day is not healthy, but you have to eat foods that will give you your vitamins & minerals.  I don't believe in restricting yourself from your favorite foods, but I do believe to only eat them in moderation and if this plan helps me with controlled portions then that is what my goal is!  Not only will I lose weight and hopefully keep from being a diabetic, I will relearn about portion control.

Enjoy the video clips...if you decide to go on the drops please make sure you are not buying them because they are the cheapest online!  I provided the link to where my drops were ordered that are working for me.  I don't make anything off the sales, i wanted to share what I know works.

Day 30:1

I have decided to continue the drops for another round, I wasnt ready to do it on my own yet ... I will keep updateing but not on a daily basis.  probably 3-4 times a week with progress updates.

I feel great again and love to fit into my jeans again with an even better fit!  I look forward to losing more weight and be a better new me that I havent been in a long time.  I know there were a few reasons for my weight gain over the last few years ... but no excuse to have let it go this far!

I gave myself a cheat day today...I went to a birthday party and they were serving pulled pork sandwhiches...I had to have one, so I did...it was dinner time anyways.  And I also had a little piece of cake.  I figured I would cheat with the food instead of having a beer or two.

It was weigh in day... I am down a total of 28 lbs!  3.5 inches off my waste!  I am so happy and feel great!  I seem to be averaging about 1-1.5 lbs a day (update on my weekly weigh in post).

Day 20:1

WOW how time flies!  20 days already!  I've lost almost 30lbs in 20 days!  I totally feel the difference, and I feel great!  I have been craving the bad food but not acting on it...I drove by Subway, DQ, McDees and A&W....but my Jeep wouldn't let me!  You know if it wasn't for drive through service, I wouldn't be over weight today.  I despise going into fast food joints...they just don't feel clean enough to eat in.  the drive through is easier, convenient and EVIL!  You could wear your lingerie while going to pick up some grub!  Just too easy...and I wouldn't be over weight if it wasn't so easy and effortless!

Not much to report on today...it was a good Monday after a 4 day weekend.  Had so much work to do I didn't even have time to think about snacking.  Its getting into TV season ... I wish I could eat plain popcorn.

Day 18:1

I cheated today, well I guess it can't be cheating if I allowed it right? ... I really wanted an icecream, but i also wanted coffee.  So I went to Timmies and had an Ice Capp (Supreme).  I think I understand why they say no more than a tbsp of milk in 24 hours!  I haven't had any milk since starting and it doesn't bother me because I don't drink too much of it anyways.  I don't think my body had time to suck back more than 20 calories from that ice cap LOL  I have been on the go go go since Wednesday night I think I have burned extra calories I shouldn't have.

I did get a couple of things made today.  My chicken ball & cabbage soup, apple chips (ipreferthe ones from the store lol) ... ill have to check the contents. I finished off with Cabbage Rolls...OMG I wanted to eat the whole thing cuz they were that delish!!!!

Lunch:
3 cups chicken/cabbage soup
melba toast
1/2 apple

Dinner:
2 cabbage rolls
     --meat combined with 1/2 apple, 1 cup red cabbage, rosemary, chives

I have enough cabbage rolls for 5 more meals! Left over soup for lunch.

I didn't get a chance to make anything today so tomorrow will be my cooking day...going to do it all in the morning before I continue with my house work.  Today was a hard day...I wasn't feeling to well this morning, felt icky.  I felt better after lunch.

Today I went shopping to make some new recipes up from the cookbook.  There are so many yummo things to make I can't wait to try!  Tomorrow is a cabbage soup with chicken, cabbage rolls,  and apple chips. While I was away in the states I came across some calorie free ketchup, bbq sauce and raspberry vinegrette...I figure it should be good with this diet to flavour up some dishes. 

Lunch:

earlier while out shopping, I had a Timmies bran muffin w/ blueberry& cranberry ( this is not allowed, but it was a good source of fibre)

Dinner:
extra lean ground beef w/ onion & garlic finsihed with a dose of Calorie free bbq sauce

I am looking for flavoured Stevia for my coffee at work and some recipes.  Also an oil called MSD?  If you know of where I can buy some please let me know.

Updating my measurements post....lost a few more inches!  I will update this post when I return from my holiday

*UPDATE*
Trip to Seattle was great!  I am happy with myself that I was able to maintain my weight even with going off a tad bit lastnight.  The Def Leppard w/Heart concert was fabulous too I must add!

it was cheaper to get a combo rather than buy strips and a water separately..water was $6!!!

Bought a new scale as well...not a digital though...my other one was old and tempermental with having to do a best 5 out of 8 weigh-ins LOL

Day 14:1

It's late, 1:30 am.  I just finished cleaning out most of my kitchen...had some pantry moths move in.  I was pretty grossed out when it came to finding larvae moving...*shivers*... My daughter sure was having a laugh over it. We found the culprit for the infestation in a "non-food" cupboard. I won't mention any names, but let's just say I am owed big time! lol

Tomorrow is weigh in day!  Not sure if I'm looking forward to it because I am feeling so bloated right now.

I need to find some Stavia, I am finding with some coffees I need to add a sweetner because they are so bitter.  My guy has sweetner with aspartame, but not too sure about it.  I have been using the odd sweetner in my coffee, I'd rather have cream.  I wonder if the fat free falvoured creamers which are not a dairy are ok to use?  I think I will go on the website and ask. 

I am heading to Seattle tomorrow for a Def Leppard w/ Heart (opening), will have to stop off at super walmart (yay) to pick up my fruit, veggies & protien for lunch & dinner.

2 more days to weigh-in & measurements!  I'm going to start calling this the miracle juice!  A co-worker has also started this plan...I'm jealous cuz she is on the binge days lol .. not really jealous but fondly remembering that ice cream and how it went down so smoothly with the choclate sauce....

A good day for a Monday...easy breezy peasy! I am really not craving the food...just the nibbling...sitting at a desk is hard without the nibbling...and gum chewing gets tiring.

Halfway through week 2.  I had a little cheat tonight, but not too much.  Went to my mother in laws for dinner (who is also on the HCG Plan), she made her yummo meatballs n gravy and used extra lean ground beef, we had ours less the gravy.  I also made our salad as everyone else had potatoes and beans.  BUT...then came dessert...""FLUFF""  On a hot summer day, no ice cream, slushy drink, etc...so I had to enjoy a little taste of dessert.  I have done very well and know I won't indulge tomorrow....besides I needed a little something to get my system moving better lol.

2 tbspn cottage cheese
1/2 cup cucumber

Day 10:1

Just took my third dose of HCG.  I haven't eaten the apple I was planning on having for dessert, just no appetite to eat.  I couldn't even have a chocolate bar if I wanted to. I had a busy day starting in the house and working my way outside.  I am tired and ready for bed.

1/2 cup cucumber
1/2 cup blueberries

filappia fish
1 cup spinach with 1/2 cup tomato and lemon juice

I need to look up some more recipes, I prefer to make a salad or one dish meals, they seem more filling and wholesome.

Who said this wasn't going to be easy?  I have no worries about what I can and can't have to eat...I chose to do this so why botch it?  And I have seen proof the first week on myself so I must keep on keepin on!!

2 fajita flavoured steak strips, spinich, tomato in a small wrap**

**I substituted the melba toast for a wrap,  It was low in calories and no sugars or fats and it was small.

my protein portion was small at dinner so I had a piece of chicken later on.


It was a fairly easy day...I look forward to the weekend of housework, yardwork and dog walking...

Day 8:1 - going strong!

I lost 15lbs in 1 week! Incredibly happy with this result!  Still feeling good too! I didn't think it was going ot be this easy =)

Lunch:

1 Greek seasoned extra lean ground beef patty
spinach and tomatoe salad with lemon juice dressing.

Its day 7 ... my first week is done!  Tomorrow morning I will weigh and measure =)

1/2 cup cottage cheese (I know I had extra protein...tsk tsk)
1/2 cup blueberries for an afternoon snack

1 BBQ roasted chicken thigh (made by my son from a restaurant he works at)

Not sure how the extra protein will effect things, not badly I would think.  Better than cake, ice cream and candy for sure! I did pass up some cake tonight *pat on the back* ... My sweet tooth wanted to taste it but I didn't let it have its way.

No hunger pains today, but I certainly do have an abundance of energy tonight lol

Day 6:1

I have made it to day 6!  This morning was a bit of a struggle without breakfast and my usual routine.  It won't take long to shake that, it just means I can sleep a few minutes longer =)

For lunch:

1 cup spinach

15 shrimp
juice of a lemon for dressing
salt & pepper

For Dinner:
xtra lean ground beef patty with Epicure selections Salsa Mix
1/2 cup cucumber

I am feeling good and just need to curb the munchy feeling...I love gum, but not allowed to chew too much of it, and only sugar free.

Day 5:1

Today was a fairly easy day.  I was busy most of the day walking dog at the river dyke and then 4x4ing the rest of the afternoon.  Didnt really feel any hunger pains at all except this morning.  But it surpassed once I had a coffee.

small lemon/rosemary chicken breast
1/2 cup cucumber
1 bread stick
1 apple

dinner
small steak
1 melba toast
1/2 cup asparagus
1 orange - eaten about an hour later

I've decided to take my drops at certain times inbetween meals.... 6am, 2pm & 9pm.  its easier for me to remember and not to even drink anything around that time.

I had a good day...now the test is at work where im used to nibbling....im glad sugar free gum is allowed!

Day 4:1

I woke up at 6 and took my drops then went back to bed.  When I awoke I had  some blueberries before I took my pooches out for a long walk & swim.  upon returning home, I made up my lunch:

1/2 cup cottage cheese
1/2 cup cucumbers

I went to a bbq for dinner, they were serving fire roasted chicken.  I took part in the chicken, but took my own salad of spinach and strawberries.  I also had a small cob of corn which I know is not on the list, but I couldnt pass that up.  I did pass up the dessert though =)

Black coffee is starting to taste better...I add sweetner to a Tim Hortons coffee as it is strong.  I went to bed early as well, I usually dont go until midnight, but will start going to bed early again as I know resting your body also contributes to weight loss.

Day 3:1

It's the end of day 3.  I am starting to feel a bit hungry but it is bedtime anyways.  I had a good lunch and dinner.

Lunch:
1/2 cup cottage cheese (1% - couldnt find anything less)
1 orange
1/2 cup cucumber slices

Dinner:
Tilapia with lemon and lavender
1 cup spinach mixed with 6 strawberries
juice of a lemon



evening I had black flavoured coffee to curb any hunger.

with minimal food to choose from it will be a challenge but interesting to try new tastes.

I started to drink some Glaceau Vitamin water then realized there was sugar cane in it.  UGH!  I didn't think there were any sugars in these drinks!
